Quality certifications
Stralfors’ activities are certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Parts of the operations in Åstorp and Gothenburg are certified in accordance with the ISO/TS 16949 quality standard which are especially developed for the automotive industry and imposes stringent demands. The pharmaceutical industry has specific requirements which are given precision in the PS 9000 standard. Business Areas Graphics and Labels have put a great amount of work into fulfilling these additional requirements.
Additionally, Stralfors has developed a separate system, Pharma Control, which guarantees production security for pharmaceutical labels. Stralfors also fulfils security standards, as described in the Risk Management section.
Security certifications
Stralfors fulfils the Swedish Bankers' Association's criteria of "Safe Paper", which is required in order to be able to produce cheques and other documents of value and have a certified security printing office. Also, the equivalent British APACS requirements concerning security are fulfilled. Security certification for handling EMV cards is valid.
Visa and MasterCard entail greater security requirements on the sector's players, on account of increased fraud. This is carried out through the joint certification program PCI, Payment Card Industry, which Stralfors Payment is implementing.
