Stralfors is entrusted with an increasing number of assignments that require compliance with rigorous quality, safety and security demands. A considerable part of our business involves handling large companies’ customer communications, as well as creating

For Stralfors to be able to deliver a positive earnings result, a perspective is required in which profitability requirements are balanced with a number of other requirements that are justifiably expected from a responsible company.
Laws, regulations, standards and customer demands are facets of the general requirements picture. What began as environmental responsibility has been broadened to cover responsibility for sustainable development with respect to future generations. Stralfors assumes this responsibility by integrating financial, environmental and social aspects into strategic and operational work with production and products.
We ensure this work through clear objectives, policies, rules and routines. Sustainability aspects are incorporated in our processes.
We notice strong support from employees in the work for sustainable development throughout the entire Group.
Sustainable development is profitable
Stralfors is a good example of methodical, long-term sustainability work actually being profitable. Through offering secure solutions with the right quality we have for example been given large, complex assignments from among others the pharmaceutical industry, the automotive industry, gaming companies, banks, insurance and telecommunication companies. The ability of the business areas to find solutions – while taking sustainable development fully into account – has been decisive with many large contracts and has in several areas given Stralfors a leading position.
Continual ongoing work
A responsible approach to Sustainability is important for the Group's continued development, and Stralfors works daily with moving its positions forward. The fact that we have conducted successful environmental work for a quarter of a century – and made considerable progress – is not a reason for resting on our laurels. Work with sustainable development is ongoing continually at all levels of the company. Customer requirements for continuity, confidentiality and secure handling of information have been assured through objective-oriented risk management work. One contemporary assignment is the updating of the internal security standard for the Group. The required quality is assured through an appropriate organisation, competent employees and a quality focus throughout the entire supply chain.
Learning from the customers
Our customers and co-operative partners have contributed to Stralfors coming as far as we have in our work with sustainable development, by means of dialogue and requirement settings. Customer meetings and audits pave the way for dialogue, and enhance us with constructive input for our improvement work. Another important source for the improvement work is the number of internal audits, surveys and internal checks that our own employees carry out. Experience and knowledge are interchanged internally through co-operation, networks and benchmarking.
Environmental improvements–big and small
Contributing to a better environment gives immediate, positive earnings effects. The work aiming at reducing paper wastage in production – followed-up by measurements at each machine – has given positive results for the environment and the company.
By using trains instead of trucks on those transport routes where it is possible, Business Area Graphics has managed to further reduce the environmental effects of the large quantities of paper which are purchased.
Stralfors is in co-operation with the Swedish National Road Administration in the "Forum for Sustainable Transport" project, seeking to make the transports more efficient, environmentally adapted and safe.
Business Area Supplies now co-ordinates deliveries from large international suppliers through a joint Nordic central warehouse, thus reducing environmental load.
The above is just a small selection of the ongoing work in the Group for improving the environment.
Social responsibility, internally and externally
In work with sustainable development, an important component, not least for our employees, is taking social responsibility both internally and externally. We strive to create and contribute to environments that appeal to the employees and contribute to their development – within Stralfors as well as in the districts where the company operates. We involve ourselves in social areas outside of direct operations. One example is the university education within the subject area of information logistics, delivered in co-operation with Ljungby Municipality, other sectors of the business community and Växjö University, the International Business School in Jönköping and the University of Halmstad.
Clear objectives give power to act – the power gives profitability
We do not see the sustainability work as separate parts of our activities – it is through incorporation of the sustainability responsibility in our daily day work that results are achieved.
Our efforts to achieve increasingly better results, systematically and progressively, are clarified through setting clear objectives for our operations. Through clearly defined objectives we create optimal prerequisites for the objective-oriented work that ensures products of the right quality, satisfied customers, sustainable development, competitiveness and profitability.
