Caroline Sundewall and Jan Åström proposed as new members of the Board of Stralfors

Stralfors’ Nomination Committee has announced that at the next Annual General Meeting it intends to propose the election of two new members to the Board of Stralfors.

Caroline Sundewall, independent, self-employed management consultant. Born 1958. Bachelor of Economics, Stockholm School of Economics. Other directorships: Telia and Lifco. Also a member of the SNS working group (the Centre for Business and Policy Studies) to promote greater diversity with regard to the membership of executive management groups and corporate boards. Caroline Sundewall has been employed by Chase Manhattan Bank, Handelsbanken, Dagens Industri, Affärsvärlden, Ratos, Sydsvenskan och Finanstidningen. She was voted Business Woman of the year in 1998, and Financial Journalist of the Year in both 2000 and 2001.

Jan Åström, Vice MD and acting CEO of SCA. Born 1956. Master of Engineering in Pulp and Paper Technology, Royal Swedish Institute of Technology, Stockholm. Former MD och CEO MoDo Paper. Jan Åström has also held other executive management positions at MoDo Paper, SCA Packaging and SCA Fine Paper.

It is proposed that Caroline Sundewall and Jan Åström supersede Bengt Borndalen and Tore Wiwen-Nilsson.

Shareholders who represent 85% of the shares and more than 90% of the votes support the proposal.

The members of Stralfors’ Nomination Committee are Göthe Parkander (chairman), Caroline af Ugglas, Skandia, and Sven Fridolfsson, self-employed.

The Annual General Meeting will be held in Ljungby on 7 May, 2002.
