Cerdo Bankpartner AB, one of the companies jointly owned by Sparbankerna Finn and Gripen, has signed an agreement with Stralfors on delivery of the new EMV Card (Europay/MasterCard/Visa card). The agreement is initially estimated to be worth between SEK 5 and 10 million.
- ”The agreement is a result of our strategic investment in the card side”, says Per Samuelson, President and CEO of Stralfors. ”We have built up a great deal of competence in the area, among other things. That Cerdo has now chosen us as supplier, as did Handelsbanken, and has confidence in us to develop personalisation of their EMV Card, we see as justification that our investment was correct”, continues Per Samuelson. ”Because we certified our production unit in Uppsala to EMV status, and have close co-operation with Oberthur Card Systems, we can always offer the market access to the very latest developments”.
