Stralfors has acquired CSC Print Centre from Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) in Denmark. CSC in Denmark is one of the largest IT outsourcing companies within the Nordic region and is a subsidiary of CSC, a leading global IT-services company. The CSC’s printing centre that has revenue of approximately 150 MSEK, offers print and enclosing services as well as electronic archive services to large Danish companies and public organizations.
As part of the agreement, the employees of the printing centre, approximately 82 employees, including those in leading position, will be transferred to Stralfors. The printing centre will successively be integrated into Stralfors in the course of 2005, which is expected to have a positive influence on the shares already during the same year. As a result of this acquisition, together with some big orders during this year, the business area Information Logistics will end up with a turnover of approximately 1 billion SEK. Stralfors has also entered into a partnership with CSC, which means that Strålfors will deliver print and enclosing services to CSC’s existing clients in the Nordic region as well as to future clients that CSC will conclude an agreement with.
Today, Stralfors is the only company in the Nordic region that focuses solely on information logistics. Stralfors’ strategy is to full fill the growing needs of businesses as well as to communicate with their many clients in a rational way, by using the various media that the latest technology makes possible such as cards, electronic media or paper based print. The size and solidity of the Stralfors Group enables them to make the necessary investments to do so.
“With this agreement, Stralfors’ expansion strategy within information logistics, which is the fastest growing area in the company having an annual growth of 10-20 percent, becomes visible”, Per Samuelson, President and CEO says.
“Along with earlier concluded agreements with Telenor and Nordea this year, this agreement shows that we are actively taking part in the consolidation and development of the industry within the Nordic region. This strengthens our position as one of the leading suppliers of outsourcing services within information logistics in this region”.
