The Stralfors/Posten Combi-solution has been awarded the 2007 CIO Awards, and nominated best IT solution of the year. With the Combi-solution, Stralfors/Posten helps its customers reach out to their customers in an easy, cost-efficient way, irrespective of method of distribution. The fact that the customers themselves decide how they wish to be contacted is a success factor, one of the aspects shown in the surveys on addressee power that Posten has carried out.
With the award-winning solution, corporate customers only need to send a file to Stralfors, which then takes care of the rest, irrespective of what method of distribution the customers have chosen. Whether the mailing is in the form of a paper invoice, e-mail, SMS or is made via Internet Bank, it makes no difference. The Combi-solution handles all alternatives in an easy, time-saving, rational way. Also, the customer can choose optimised postage of the documents sent through the post. Posten initially began to construct the Combi-solution, but it is now run by the subsidiary company, Stralfors.
“The Combi-solution means a big lift for our customers,” says Per Nilsen, Product Developer at Stralfors’ Business Area, Information Logistics. ”It makes the internal processes with our customers more efficient, because it is very time saving. Expressed simply, it is about one file in and several files out. The customer sends us their file, and we do the rest with the Combi-solution, irrespective of the mailing alternative or alternatives chosen by the customer.”
“With the new solution, we increase customer service and save money, both for our customers and internally,” says Krister Keskitalo, Project Leader at Posten. “In Posten’s survey, ‘Letter Habits 2007’, it was shown that, as regards important information, a large majority of recipients prefer a physical item, for example, as regards invoices, order confirmations and pension information. It is a matter of creating cost-efficient solutions, which at the same time give considerable importance to consideration of the recipients in the communication.”
The CIO Awards 2007 are awarded by the CIO Sweden magazine. The jury’s statement was; “The Posten/Stralfors Combi-solution distinguishes itself by both promoting business and increasing efficiency. It makes internal processes more efficient, and makes things easier for the customers.”
