Stralfors succeeded and won the extensive public procurement and signed an agreement with the Swedish Skånetrafiken, which is responsible for public transport on city buses in 10 major cities, region buses and trains in Skåne. The agreement comprises delivery of all products and services within customer related support, logistics, distribution, customer interaction and communication. Skånetrafiken will become quite new and unique possibilities to communicate with its many travellers. Stralfors will supply everything within paper-, card- and electronic based customer communication; from ticket handling, invoicing, market communication, questionnaire and response handling to stock keeping and logistics. The agreement is available from January 1st 2007 and runs over five years.
Skånetrafiken will make it much easier for its many travellers in the region of Skåne and for those using the Öresund trains. Ticket handling will become easier, faster and smarter and will be added with many new services. Skånetrafiken, with almost 700 000 travellers a year, decided previously to implement a simple and smart ticket system. The system will be up and running on full scale in the whole region during winter 2007/2008.
Stralfors will supply all products and services included in the communication between Skånetrafiken and its travellers. The communication consists of paper-based information as well as electronic based, such as e-mail, SMS or voice mail. In the future MMS service will also be included. The agreement also comprises replacement of about 500 000 existing cards by contactless ones.

“Today Skånetrafiken is purchasing customer communication for more than 40 million SEK a year”, Jonas Westerdahl continues. “Together with Stralfors we will be able to render our customer communication more effective and improve our services. Our aim is, within the next five years and within existing frames, to direct about 20-25 millions a year into direct communication. The agreement makes an important step in our work to offer services related to demands and preferences of any single person as far as information, way of payment and other added values are concerned. All is done with the goal to make it easier and nicer to travel with Skånetrafiken.
