Pizza Hut tests eye tracking on its menu

Chicken, chorizo or pepperoni? You can now let your subconscious decide what kind of toppings you have on your pizza.

Together with Swedish company Tobii Technology, the Pizza Hut chain has developed a totally new kind of digital menu.

With the aid of eye tracking, the menu registers which of 20 ingredients the customer´s eyes settle on. In only three seconds, it then calculates what the customer wants on his or her pizza. There are 4,896 possible combinations in total.
The digital menu took six months to develop and will be tested first of all at restaurants in the UK.
